Manage wallets
Create a wallet
- Click into your desired vault and select ‘Create wallet’
- Enter the wallet name
This name should help identify the wallet. - Enter the wallet description
This description should make the purpose of the wallet clear. - Select which blockchain you would like the wallet to be provisioned on
Palisade currently allows wallet creation on the following blockchains:- Avalanche
- Base
- BNB Chain
- Ethereum
- Hedera
- Polygon
- XRP Ledger
Let us know if there are any chains you would like to see added by emailing support@palisade.co.
Some blockchains such as the XRP ledger and Hedera require you to pay an activation fee before sending or receiving transactions.
- Select your desired keystore type (MPC or HSM)
In order to be able to create an MPC wallet, you will need to first create an MPC Quorum in the ‘Controls’ section of the Palisade platform. See our Controls guide for more information.
Enable outgoing transactions from a wallet
Once your wallet is created, it remains in a ‘deposit only’ state until the following three conditions are met:
- At least one asset has a policy applied
A policy can be added from the 'Policies' tab within the wallet. - At least one address has been added to the address book (only if transacting with an address external to Palisade)
- The wallet is enabled
To enable a wallet, click ‘Enable transactions’.
Wallet settings
Wallet settings can be accessed via the ‘settings’ button in your wallet.
There are 3 categories of settings:

Details settings
This is where you can edit the name and description of your wallet.
The name should help identify the wallet, whilst the description should make the purpose of the wallet clear.
Transactions settings
This is where you can enable or disable outgoing transactions and raw signing.
Outgoing transactions refers to the ability to transfer digital assets out of a wallet.
Raw signing refers to the ability to securely sign any transaction type available on a given blockchain. See our Raw Signing guide for important information about this feature.
